Cinder by Marissa Meyer (losing my sanity)

Title: Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1)

Author: Marissa Meyer

Author’s website

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl.

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

I will start by saying that I was a bit sceptical about starting this book. I knew almost everyone loved it, but I am not a big fan of cyborgs, robots etc.

Well, I am glad I’ve listened to my friend’s advice. As soon as I started, I ordered all of the books because they are a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

Even though, everything was a bit predictable, I enjoyed it.

To be honest, every book has become pretty predictable. (Am I gaining too much experience?)

I feel like the first book (as always) is just the background information. We’ve got action around every corner. However, not much has been developed in the first book. (I have started the second one today yes)

Cinder is a bit silly at the start which annoyed me, but hey, she gets better. She is really charismatic as a character. You can easily identify with her.

I love how this book isn’t the typical romance Cinderella adaptation. This is why I strongly recommend it to everyone. Give it a chance, seriously.
