Celaena Sardothien has survived deadly contests and shattering heartbreak—but at an unspeakable cost. Now she must travel to a new land to confront her darkest truth…a truth about her heritage that could change her life—and her future—forever.
Meanwhile, brutal and monstrous forces are gathering on the horizon, intent on enslaving her world. To defeat them, Celaena must find the strength to not only fight her inner demons but to battle the evil that is about to be unleashed.
I wanna start with this: This book is more wonderful than the first ones. How is that even possible?
Sarah’s writing style reminds me of Cassandra Clare’s, but it doesn’t. I have mixed feelings about that affirmation so, never ever ask me who is my favourite author, because I can’t possibly answer.
I loved this book more than the other ones, as the character’s feelings/personalities are developing through the pages. In this book, some of the misteries are solved, following to be replaced by another misteries and so on.
I can’t say lots of things about this book without spoiling it. We have changes of POV only when we need it. Sarah mastered that art. You won’t say ‘Why changing now?I needed more of that.’ The first books were preparing the bomb, in the third book, everything exploded.
We have a lot of action IN EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER, I swear. You can’t let the book down, not even for seconds.
I saw who the real Celeana Sardothien is and learnt lots of life lessons.
It’s being introduced a new character who will play with your patience. I’ve got some quotes too.
“You don’t bite the women of other males.”
Do us both a favor and go to hell.”
”You are the keeper of your own fate”
”I claim you…”
Caaaaaaan you feel the love toooonight?
In conclusion, you will not regret if you read this book. I could say so many things about it, but I’ll let you discover them.
